Default idrive screen?

My Ride: 2005 545i (build date 04/05) silver grey metallic/black leather/anthracite maple/6 speed Steptronic/sport package/cold weather package/premium sound package/active cruise control/navigation system/HUD/Sirius satellite radio/comfort seats/rear electric sunshade/rear airbags/rear seat heat/fold down rear seats
Why doesn't idrive let you set a default idrive screen to always be the first screen when you first turn on the car? I understand (barely) the rationale for the disclaimer screen, but it would be nice for the first screen to pop up be your favorite or most used view.

It's a good idea. I think most people here would agree. Some want nav, some might want radio. Nice to have the choice. Or just go back to the last screen before you switched off last.
BTW, there's no disclaimer screen in non-US cars.

That would be nice, but I would just be happy if I only had to "accept" once the agreement and not everytime I start the damned thing!
Or how about wallpaper or a "screen saver" of your choice? A

Unfortunately I think there is no way to change the "startup"-screen. But I have a quick shortcut; if you hold the iDrive-wheel in any direction for at leat 3 sec. it change to last used window/selection, even if car is tuned off for days. Give it a try and it will help you navigate.
