In the usa, can you turn off the daytime running lights from I-drive, or does the dealer need to do this?

I believe the latest CIP version is 19.xx and there is no option in the iDrive menu to control Daytime Running lights for U.S. owners.

Perhaps in a software update, but "when" is the question.

Do a search. I believe I saw some post that claimed their latest version has a new option under lightings....

DRLs are mandatory in Canada, and BMW ships the same spec cars to US & Canada, so we in the US don't get the option in iDrive.

I'll check my car later. I should have 19.x, I think.

I had to have my dealer turn them on for me, there was no selection in my IDRIVE and there was also no cost for doing it.
