Daytime Running Light Replacement Xenon

Just got a high beam malfunction error on my 04 530i with the xenon package. One of the daytime running light bulbs is out. The manual recommends bringing it in to the dealer. Does anyone have any experience replacing these? What bulbs would you recommend? Is there a whiter/less yellow direct replacement for the DRL? Thanks.
