I am always very careful but it finally happened with this car. I curbed a wheel, any good do-it-yourself touch up kits? I will need paint and clear coat.

I think FMINUS had some kind of repair and paint kit , sorry to ear about that P, you can get the wheel done for $90-125 by a wheel repair shop/mobile ........ factory grade finish.

Good Luck

I have had my wheels done before and they came out great on my previous car. This is a little nick and not worth all of that effort. I just wanted to touch it up and just make it look better.

I have a guy on the island that comes to your place of work or your house and does it on the spot. Does fantastic work too. He did one of my 19" wheels this summer. $80 too. Not bad.

Bummer ... it's like the first door ding .

Call one of your local and well-referenced detail and paint-less paint repair shops. Ask your your local dealer - they probably use one to do the same thing for prepping pre-owned cars or taking care of shop damaged cars. The wheel refinishing shops are very good too and as noted, quite reasonable compared to buying a new wheel. But if you have runflats be sure, if they are working on a bare wheel, that they can dismount and remount the tire correctly.

IMHO, anytime I've tried to to a "simple" fix ... I walk away saying, "Why didn't I call a pro who does this for a living?"

All the more reason for tire manufacturers molding a rub-rib into the sidewall to help prevent damage to expensive wheels. Too bad that only a few tires have these. It's one of the features I look for when shopping replacement tires.
