Had a small nail in the right rear tire repaired today and the shop noticed a small crack
(Not leaking air at this time)
At home I also noticed that the rim is slightly bent...
From doing a search it appears that:
1) Others have had much more serious issues with their 124's
2) Repair/replacement is not covered via warranty
3) Will need to buy a new wheel
Any comments/suggestions?
Tnx

I just replaced my cracked left front rim which was leaking. It looked a lot like yours, but it was a straighter hairline crack that slowly leaked air. The FTM brought it to my attention. Some people claim they can be repaired with a weld. I don't like that idea since a failure could be catastrophic. I would not drive on a cracked rim. Search the site for other, more severe rim failures. Go here: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=42085

yeah -i've got a set of 124's i'll part-out to you guys. I've got two that aren't bent of the four. I don't know which ones aren't bent yet and whether they're the ones with curb-rash or not. When i get my M166's on tuesday, I'll let know more. If you guys are interested, let me know.

Your June 18th post states "My 545's rims are HOSED and the tire shop is pissed at me for making them rebalance them 5 times"
