1. Are the orange eyebrows and option or are mine just not working? If they are an option that I dont have what does
it cost to get them working?

2. Why would my AC turn on by itself while im driving?

thanks for any help

Welcome Jeff!

The orange eyebrows are standard though there was an earlier software bug the turned them off. Likely you need a software update. Just a tip, giving us some details about your car would really help folks answer your questions. On the inside of the drivers door (at least in US cars) there should be a white sticker with the build date. That would help, as would your location.

As for the AC, if you have it Auto mode, it may kick on the AC while driving. That is the only time I can imagine it just coming on by itself.

I had the problem with the eyebrow lights not illuminating. I took it to the dealer for two other problems which required that they update the Progman to the latest version (which is 30.02) and now those lights work. I don't know if they would do a software update just for those lights (they should!) but it never hurts to ask. They were reluctant to update my software because they claimed they 'could not duplicate' the problems but after I referenced the SIBs they did it.

Welcome!!! Your car is an 05. Provided you have under 50k miles, you should be covered by the factory warranty. former demo cars expire @ 55k. Get an extended warranty if you don't have one. The best thing to do is visit your local dealership. they can pull the info off your key and advise on coverage. As for cost of programming, they should be able to give an estimate. Because programming the car can be tricky, the time needed for the update can vary. Keep us posted!
