A couple A/C questions

Might be a silly Q, but how do I set-up the A/C to NOT turn on every time I turn the car on?
Also, I'm sure some of you have already bought and installed the new knobs for the A/C controls. (The ones that are silver and not dull grey)
You guys know the parts numbers and was it an easy mod?

+1 on not having the A/C turn on every time! been trying to figure that out for a year.. no luck
