I wish I could get my passenger to shut up after two minutes - she just keeps on talking
I'm sure if you put enough of a seat belt in her mouth she will.

Thanks for all the replies.

I always wear my belt. I've handled too many cases where my clients were unrestrained, and the results aint pretty.

But, my law partner feels otherwise. And, since its a free world, I dont feel its my job to tell him whether to wear it or not.

Now, as far as eating and smoking in my car - I have no problem voicing my opinions....LOL.

I don't know how it is in your state but in NJ the driver of the vehicle is responabile for the passergers to wear their seat belts. If you get stoped the driver gets the citation not the passengers. Oh did I mention, safety is a wonderfull thing wear your F^*#in seat belt thats what its there for.
cheers

Like I said, I wear my seatbelt. But I also respect someone else's right to make that decisions themselves.

I simply asked a technical question about the warning. I dont recall asking to be updated on advisability of seatbelts.

I dont mean to grump, but sheesh..........

I think the spare buckle is the best for your case.
Maybe she starts wearing the seatbelt if you start pluggin' the buckle everytime she takes the passenegr seta...

You don't have to tell the guy what to do. The next time the guy is riding in the car, put those tires and brakes to good use and teach him a lesson. I am sure he'll reach for the seatbelt if you drive hard enough.
I am a believer in seatbelt. I walked away with minor bruises when my pickup rolled twice near Yosemite National Park.

The issue is your unrestrained passenger becomes a projectile in an accident, then it becomes your problem when he hits you.

Not as long as their riding in my car and I have to foot the bill for the citation if we get one.
Buckle up or find another ride.

Its the law here in Kentucky and Indiana too. But again, its not my call.

Now, if they want to smoke, which would affect my health (not to mention my car), then I'm kicking ass and barking out orders!

As for my vocation, I'm in litigation, with a concentration in medical malpractice.

What do you do, by chance?
