Okay........after just one day, I have to figure out how to turn off the "warning" ring for when my passenger isnt wearing a seatbelt. Is there any way to do that?

yes buy a used seat belt lock (the end piece without the actual belt) and put it in

Yeah, make them wear their seatbelt... or get ear plugs, or disconnect your stereo, or go the illegal route and tamper with the seatbelt locking mechanism. Basically there is no way to turn it off besides abiding by the rules.

Unless of course you have some freak glitch like mine where I no longer get any audio warnings at all, only the visual ones on the iDrive screen. If I ever figure out why it's doing it I'll be sure to let ya know.

or what pmmeke suggested also

ahhhhh....the infamous "how to turn off the seatbelt warning" thread !!!!!! lol

That's one of the first things I tried to do in the first week I had my e60 !!!!!

The funny thing is.....I never found a way !! and as a result....I ALLWAYS wear my seatbelt now !!! (cause I can't stand that damn never ending beeping!)

Thanks BMW !!!! They really care about me !!! lol.....I am now a converted seat belt wearing driver......thanks to your persistent and annoying freakin' chime !!!!!!!
I guess it kind of worked out in a positive way...

oh...and by the way...if you let it chime...it'll continue around 20 or 30 chimes and then it actually stops !!! I tried it one day...i figured it had to stop at some point! and it does...if you can sit there and listen to it 30 times in a row without driving into oncoming traffic out of frustration lol

That, or simply tell the passenger that the beeping isn't going away, so he/she has to buckle up to make it go away...
That would be better.........

PS have we seen a picture of your new car yet?

I've always fancied a white sport but am told it is a big no no over here - particularly by the Mrs !

Is it not against the law in your countries to not wear a seatbelt?

I understand medical reasons but why would you not wear your seatbelt in the first place?

If you don't wear a seat belt you should be punished!
