This has nothing to do with the Comfort Access option. There's a setting in iDrive where you can disable the seat from moving -- the exact location can differ depending on your software version but look in the vehicle settings under door locks...
New to me then, I will obviously have a look on mine as well then, I thought comfort access was the remote, steering moving, seats moving package, im happy to be wrong and often am as in this case it seems
