I'm looking to put heated comfort seats into my 04 545 in place of non-heated sport seats.

I called the local indy and he says he has no idea what is needed. I can get the seats and the console insert with the heating buttons but I need someone who completely understands the computer and wiring looms and can get everything to work.

Anyone know someone in Southern California who has in depth knowledge of this type of thing? I'm in San Diego.

Love the car but I can't get comfortable in the sport seats.

 

I am doing the same seat swap in my 04 545i with sport seats to active comfort seats from an 06 M5. I have the seats and SMZ center console switch installed but not programmed yet. The seats ( minus the active feature ) work fine but I do get an airbag error. The information relating to this swap from BMW is not much. As far as I could tell it is strait plug and play with programming. Although I am concerned about the fact that my 04 has a different body control module than an 06 and that might be an issue but will not know until I get the programming done. I can check in with an update after I get the programming done and maybe you will need the same programming done on your car as well.

By the way, the comfort seats are so much better than sport seats. I was not expecting the difference to be so dramatic. I had originally done the swap for leather color not comfort.
