hey guys i have a quick question i just had my battery replaced on my 2006 530xi by the dealer and i live up in NY, as many of u know we had a heavy snow fall... went out this morning and the car wouldnt start at all... left it for 20 mins came out and it started right up... the car was cranking just not catching... why is this happeneing i mean my friends 91 ford started no issue... espically with a new battery i shouldnt have this issue.... any ideas why this happens

 

You wrote, "the car was cranking just not catching ..." ... but you also wrote, "left it for 20 mins came out and it started right up" ... for me that indicates something other than the battery is a problem. Fuel pump, ignition maybe ??

• How may miles on your car?
• Was it a BMW dealer who diagnosed and did the battery replacement ?
• What other indicators were provided in the service report. There is a process BMW prescribes for diagnosis and replacement of Batteries.
