CCC frozen at splash screen
#1
So I connected the laptop to run INPA to do the transmission reset. I decided to look at the CCC and saw an option for a "Make fast boot Image". I decided to run this option, thn INPA froze. The CCC restarted and thats when it stayed frozen. After waiting, I desconnected INPA, but the CCC is still frozen. The chimes work, the speakers work, the DVD and CD ejects, but nothing else. The knob free spins and I tried doing a reset on CCC by holding ejects and power buttons, all it does is turn off then back to splash screen. Any way of fixing this?

whats a flash screen? you try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery?
one thing to never do when messing with programming....never click on something that you dont know what it does.

Sounds.like you are going to have to programme it with WINKFP.
Might get away with reflashing the .TRC file in NCSEXPERT but you would need an original, untampered file.

Did you try reading error codes from CCC with INPA or DIS? You can try coding the CCC with NCS in Expertmode - it will load standard config based on VO.

Hello all, I have downloaded tools32 and winkfp but have no idea how to use them, as for NCS Expert, it has been a long while since I have used it so I do not remember how to program the car, I do have a backup that I was instructed to make of all the modules of my car, I just dont know how to load it. Now that I do have all the hardware and software that I need, What do I do with it to reprogram my CCC?

I agree with thomassteen, try that website or try chiming Blood and see what he says or Bruce as they are very knowledgable guys when it comes to something like this.
Also as mentioned above, have you tried disconnecting the battery and leaving it for a while?
Another thing is see if you can read CAPPL the CCC with NCSexpert, if it reads then try coding it with ehssans pdf on how to code with VO and not with a blank .MAN file.
But that is if you can read the CCC with NCSexpert.
