What I'm afraid is going to happen is, if MBZ is still selling well despite the horrible warranty policy, you can expect this to spread and soon other manufacturers will follow suit.

Who else has the full maintenance program? Audi? Does Lexus?

Is Audi's as "full" as BMWs?

Very nice MB and congrats. The new SLK got me into into their showroom and I thought the sales guy was alot more professional and informative than my BMW sales. And 3 weeks later the MB sales guy invited me back to test drive their SLK-55 AMG press car!

Do you have the 7-spd automatic? I drove a 05 SLK350 7spd on a few occasions and found that engine and tranny is incredible. The tranny shifts so quickly and directly. And the rain sensing wipers are telepathic and are 1000times better than the E60's.

The E is comfy and on some days I wish I had a more comfy ride ... like you said... just floating home from work.

Keep us posted about your experience with the new ride.
