Yea well, like it or not, that's reality. Sorry for your bad luck on the E60, but a downgrade is a downgrade. Don't get offended cuz someone called you out on it.

You can argue that if you got the E500.

And oh I wanted to mention, I downgraded too. From an S Class to a 545i, so I'm in the same boat... Well sort of. I see you're already on the MBForums...

Just out of curiosity...
There was talk about MBZ making changes to their warranty.

I vaguely remember that new owners had to pay out of their own pockets for the oil changes, regularly scheduled maintenance, tune-ups, etc. that were covered in their previous warranty. I'm not sure on the details so I could be wrong altogether.

What is the warranty like for your E-class?

yes, they dropped the maintenance. my local dealer received a fax from mbusa (sending out to dealers nationwide) the day that i went there to test drive the clk. that's also one of the reasons why i picked e60 .

E500 will have a new engine soon, a la new S500. It should be around 380 hp rather than puny 302 hp of now.

I almost sold my 545i due to frequent dealer visits too. My ad is still in Autotrader.com since I signed up for list until its sold. Who knows, if someone accepts my full offer, I may be riding a 550i soon

What I'm afraid is going to happen is, if MBZ is still selling well despite the horrible warranty policy, you can expect this to spread and soon other manufacturers will follow suit.
