I recently crouched down next to a black RS6 in my office garage, to see what kind of tires they put on that car, and I noticed a similar sidewall bulge on the outside of his right front.? It can be dangerous, so I left a note for the owner.? I apologized for the intrusion, but told him I was just admiring his awesome car with its massive tires (still smaller than my 545iM...), and saw the bulge in the sidewall.? I hope he got it replaced.? I felt like a dork, but I didn't want the thing to blow on some long, hot highway trip.

I personally think you did the right thing. However, I've learned from previous experiences that it's better to just walk away and not get involved.

Many of you may think, that I'm being ridiculous or exagerrating, and that no harm can come from warning the guy of his tire, but I've seen things happen. Suffice it to say, we no longer live in a time where we can help our fellow neighbor for the sake of just helping someone.

Let us know how this turns out.
Did you by any chance leave your name or number?

Noooo, I just left the nice note. Actually, the next day the car was still sitting there, and the valet guy who washes cars (and I guess was just getting around to this RS6) was standing there staring at my note and the tire as I walked by, and the valet asked me what I thought the note meant. The valet couldn't see anything on the tire. I didn't let him know I wrote the note. I just crouched down and showed him the bulge. He just said I have good eyes, and he'd tell the owner. So I didn't really want to get involved (maybe you're right to be paranoid), but just wanted to give him a heads up. I hope he fixed it, but have no idea.

Good way to not get involved! LOL! I'm just kidding.

Seriously, like I said before, I personally think you did the right thing and would do the same. I'm the type of guy that thinks it's better to inform someone rather than leaving it to chance or waiting for what you knew you could've avoided.

I (like yourself) also would do it in a non-confrontational way.
But sometimes, people will take offense to your 'suggestion' or even worse, point fingers at you and you'll now find yourself in a worthless mess.

Here's a short P.S.: I saw the black RS6 in the garage today, and I checked his tires. He has a brand new set! Maybe he bought them because of my note.
