Brake fluid service?

I got a service message stating my brake fluid is due. What is this fluid and is it covered under the 4/50k warranty?

It's the fluid that flows in your brake lines to push against your brake pads. Not covered under warranty unless you have maintenance

Yes $0 cost. All my oil changes and everything has been free so far. It expires this year though.
