I've had this problem for months now but have been waiting for a new software release to enable MP3 playback before I schedule an appointment to get everything fixed. I read cleaning them with water might help which I did but it didn't help. There's 2 rubber seals though, one on the door and one on the actual car frame. Are both replaced? Which one or both is/are the problem?

It's the felt-type strip along the top of the door (above window) I believe. I had the new seals installed in my car about 3 weeks ago, and so far they work great! I was nervous about having them replaced after reading several posts here saying the new seals only make it worse....but so far that's not the case for me. I would recommend getting the new seals if you old ones are noisy....the noise drove me nuts!!

mine creaked like old wooden boat-somebody here recommended spraying WD40 over that felt like material-which i did and it worked, but creaks are coming back again(2 months later),i will have to do it again -takes about 5 min and it really works.

My dad had an Audi a couple years back, needless to say he's driving a BMW now! The Audi was full of problems, especially mechanically.
Hopefully once they fix the seals on your E60 they will stay silent. It would be sad to lose you over some door seals..

Yes sir-ree Bob!!! My last 2 A6 Audis were ratlle boxes after 1200 miles. Folding seats, front seat rails, rear doors, head rests, golve box, shifter, hand brake,....I'll stop there as I don't have enough time to list all of the problems.

I will not "go there" and mention all of the electric gremlins that appear around 12K. Even my Audi Specialist encouraged me to look else where as he were less than happy about Audi quality.

Happy to see (finally) the 530xi arrive and after 1800 miles, not one sqeak, rattle or ripple with the new ride.

Mine got replaced few months ago and I can not imagine the creaks are back! I drive my Lexus GS now, very quiet and smooth.
