Thanks for posting,after reading it i have a question: i always thought it is almost impossible to lock the key in the vehicle while it is running,mine is 2004 and i don't think it can be done that easily,maybe they changed something for MY2005?

But the rattle problem is something that BMW must do something about.
For a car that costs overhere a minimum of 53,550 ? ($63,000 for a 523i) the problem
feels even worse.
