Mercedes-Benz has also painted their cars with a special hard paint that doesn't get so easilly scretched.
When will BMW do something about this matter???

The article says the Scratch Guard is good for about 3 years? I'd be interested to see what happens after this paint ages. Hazing? Flaking? Dull finish? Can it be reapplied easily or is it the equivalent of getting a new paint job? I'd be a little nervous if someone told me part of my paint job would expire in 3 years.... hmm... Great idea though!

read somewhere that BMW moved to water based paint (therefore softer) to comply to EPA requirements for ozone pollutant?!
