Just received my 12/5 issue of AutoWeek with an article on their long term 05 545. Here is the quote:

"One thing not under debate is an increasing annoyance with squeaks and rattles coming from the car's door panels. The interior squeaking/flexing/whatever you want to call it is an abomination in any car, let alone one costing $61,000, noted an editor."

Couldn't agree more. My 04 has been in multiple times for door seals, rear parcel shelf, etc and all was quiet for several months. Now with cooler weather back, my car's squeaking and flexing all over again. I've about had it. Maybe if I leave the keys in the car, someone will steal it and I can finally get rid of the thing.

wow those are some pretty strong statements about leaving the keys in the car, I mean I can understand your frustration with spending so much on a car only to have it rattle, but I hope you really find a way to solver your dilemma

That comparison is almost as drastic as threatening to leave the keys in the car.

You are right. I am just pissed at this. Its such a great car to drive (so was the Fiat 128, by the way 20 yrs. ago...), but I never had a car in between that makes more noises. There is a stretch to wortk that is really bad (reminds me of Russia in th 80s...) and the car rattles and creaks from 4-5 different places, in particluar when its cold. The same stetch with my old E39 - silence. The same stretch with my wife's Subaru - silence. The same with my friends Nissan Maxima.
