Remember, the new twin-turbo E92 is a 335Ci!
Why do BMW insist on dropping the "C" nowadays from the badge?

225 kW (Kilowats) is 301.7 hp.

I'm not that familiar with your strange (old and stupid measurements)
but the 540i has a torgue of 390 Nm from 3500 rpm's.
(Do the calculations yourself).

The new 530i will have + 270 hp and the 550i will have some + 380 hp's.
Just updated engines.

Also a new M3 V8 engine will be offered with about + 400 hp's.

As I said, the E60 facelift will not occure before Sept '07.
When are the 380 hp 550's going to be produced?

what engine specs are in the GS 350 and GS 400?
The GS350 is a 3.5 L V6 engine... The same engine in the IS350 now. The GS400 and 430 will be no more.... They are introducing the GS460 380HP V8 (Same engine in the new LS460) and keeping the current GS450 Hybrid.

Because of gas price goes up, I expect the 535i instaed of 550
I doubt they will cancel the 550i with the 535i... They need to keep a V8 in the class and i just don't see it happening. I bet the 535i will replace the 530i and a new engine (producing power between the current 525-530i) will be called 528i that replaces the 525i. The same thing they are doing with the 3 series now.

Man you need to chill. Stupid measurments!!!!??? Even if we want to follow the whole world...Good luck changing eveything in the country to match the world.

Also from where did you get that the 530i will get 270HP? Do you mean the current 3.0 engine will be bumped to 270hp or the new twin turbo engine is going to be detuned to 270HP and called 530i?

Sometimes when English isn't a person's first language (and that's often the case where it's supposed to be!!) the idiom used can be misinterpreted.

A little tolerance on all sides would be a starting point.

I beleve just the one Mars mission has been lost when non-US scientists gave a force for a course correction in Newtons and "Mission Control" made the assumption that all the world used our good old "Imperial" units and applied the same value - not in Newtons but in "pounds weight".

The craft eered into space never to be contacted again.

Maybe there IS a case for stndardisation of units of measurement.

Here in the UK, it was hard enough in 1971 to have our currency converted from 12 pence in a shilling and 20 shillings in a pound and over recent years we have been dragged kicking and screaming through metric weight and volume but still hold on to our miles!

Does 225kw= 300HP? and 400nm= 300TQ?

I thought the new gas 3.0 Twin turbo engine is going to replace the current N/A engine in the 530 like it did with the 3 series. The 550i will remain the same. Do you have any pics for the face lift on the 5 series?
I don't think the 335Ci has replaced the 330Ci, they just haven't widened the engine range yet. I think it will end up being at least:

320Cd, 330cd, 325Ci, 330Ci, 335Ci

There is a big gap between the current 325Ci and 335Ci that a 330Ci would fill nicely.

absolutely no news on it yet, although it should be out next year. 400nm from 1600rpm to 5000rpm, and 306bhp it will be great...
