This is not due to a front-end alignment problem. It is due to the failure of the technician who installed the software update to correctly align the steering wheel during Active Steering re-initialization. They either forget to do it or do not do it carefully. I have had the same problem. It takes about 15-20 minutes for them to fix it. You should be able to schedule an appointment and wait for them while it is done.
gwf545 is correct. At the end of any CIP update they must reinitialize the active steering so their computer reads "0" meaning the wheel is centered. The dealer apparently forgot to do that for you. It's not an alignment problem at all and should be covered under warranty, or rather by dealer gratis since they screwed up to begin with.

It takes perhaps only one minute to do it but hooking the car up and initializing everything might be another story...

You are good ! I was wondering if somebody was going to notice that.

I'm gonna call the ding dong ( Service Advisor ) now and will post his story about the aligment problem

The service advisor at BMW said to bring the car at 7:30am next monday and he will take of the problem. I guess is a little hassle but the BMW dealer is doing his best effort to keep a customer happy
