This may sound like a cheap post:
Have always been a staunch anti-MB.
It irks me to see VIP's going around in MB's.
What do the German high ups drive?
What do the big guns at BMW drive, eg. Dr Helmut Panke and Chris Bangle

Regards

from an article interviewing Bangle:

Chris Bangle: 745diesel + 2 unspecified private colectible cars
Bangle's wife: X3 diesel
Bangle's son: 1er serie engine unknown

Quatation from the interview: "My wife loves diesel engines because she does not have to worry about filling up the tank during her rides all the time"..............with the low cosnumption she always gets to where she needs............and "it is always me who gets to fillup the tank than"............... "I love the low consumption and low mileage of course......... and the TORQUE"...................

so I guess that is why the 645d will be coming

Mercedes gives there cars for free to diplomats and heads of state, so that they can have the prstige associated with there cars. I wonder if they supply a mechanic in the trunk, for those mid trip transmission fixes
