It's only in the US.. Beacuse if anyone were playing with the system and they crash, some people could sue BMW, because the Idrive took all their attention...

Never noticed this before. I have CIP 19.01 so I'll give it a try tomorrow just to see if it works. However, as sad as it sounds, I've already been accustomed to starting my car immediately when I get in and tapping the iDrive to 'Accept' the warning.

Hardly seems worth it for me. I'm one of those people that when I get in the car I want to take off right away. I'd rather push the accept button than wait 5 seconds to turn the key. Pushing it only takes less than half a second, no big deal. Just my .02

But thanks for the info?

Hahah Ya... I dont care for it but it doesnt bother me too much... I blindly just smack the iDrive knob with my palm everytime Its a routine... i dont even think or look at it when doing it.

I leave the lawyer screen "ON" to create a big mystery for all the first time co-passengers in my car. And, I come up with a story to tell them how important it is to accept the message. It stops them from meddling my IDrive for sometime

Now that we are chitchatting about idrive. I wish there was a choice to disable the volume or from changing radio station. Oh boy let me tell you..when I need to drive my niece (13yrs) some where..she drives me crazzy with the vol. and her stations.

"i told you not to mess with my vol. nor my talk radio station theory does not work with her any more" I need another solution.

I have a 2005 545i in Hong Kong... and I dont have this screen. Does the screen only appear in the newest version of the softwear? Or maybe we are lucky that we don't have this screen in Hong Kong...
