I highly doubt that different models would have different lights, and I looked at mine in the daylight, but they definitely look like they are blinking red, not traditional yellow. Very unique appearance with smallish bars appearing in the signal itself. Maybe a little lighter red, but definitely in the red family "to me." Maybe I'm color blind....
edit: note that I am talking about the rear indicators, not the front. I assume the front are yellow/amber...

Haven;t been here for a while since selling my E39 528I. Just want to share my experince with the 335i. I Just place a order for June production on a 2008 550i Sport with similar equipment as my 07 550i Sport, only adding Ipod adaptor and sport auto paddles. Biggest change...automatic transmission. Couldn't live with that SMG tranny anymore, hate to say that SMG in Non M cars was a big mistake for me. Anyways I was told that the new 08 auto uses the same tranny as the new 335, but with different software. So i had to test drive the 335 just to test the tranny. All i can say is the 335 is awesome....Neck snapping addictive power. If i didn't have kids, I would buy one in a heartbeat..Dealer has two of them, one is priced at $44,000. $27,000 less than 550 I just ordered. Sure was tempting......anyways FYI, the 335 is a swesome car. Now just have to wait for the new car ro arrive, hopefully by end of July or early Aug. By the way that mistake hurts big time...in my wallet. Oh well, life is too short to regret. Move on with life.

I will start with WOW!!!! The LCI is a big improvement from previous E60. I picked up my beast last Thursday and have put on about 400 miles. This is the ultimate driving machine!!!!
Here are my first impressions:
3) Exhaust enhancement is great and the tips make it very distinctive.

Could you give us more info on the exhaust setup since you have a 550i sport. I've been waiting with eagerness for someone to pick up this model and inform us if the exhaust setup, especially, the rear muffler is any different apart from the obvious exhaust tips.
So is it the same double cannister setup with valve ? and what about the 2 resonators, still there ? BMW mentions sportier sound - so there must be somewhere a difference...
TIA
Andy

Bump on the exhasut question. It would be nice to get a sporty sounding, nice looking exhaust that would allow me to bypass an aftermarket exhaust and use my mod money for some HP improvements.

I test drove a 550i Sport Package car today. Carbon black looks very nice, almost iridescent in the sunlight. However, I can imagine that it will be a royal pain to keep clean! The exhaust note was nice, but I didn't pay a lot of attention to it. Very quick, as expected. The lights look nice, and the new interior treatment looks fine to me. I like the radio mode button to switch between the radio, CD, aux, SAT, etc., and the shortcut buttons should be helpful. The new automatic transmission was very responsive and easy to use. I'm interested (as are we all) in getting details on the Sport Automatic.
I was most interested in feeling the M-Sport suspension and 19's (BMW is using Conti's on the car). The suspension is very smooth and comfortable, not harsh at all. I intentionally drove the car over some very rough parts of the local innerbelt highway under construction (down to 2 lanes with switchbacks and over old roadbed), and the car felt great. It didn't skip or jump, and the ride was terrific even on the rough spots. When I got back in my 540i, it felt rough in comparison.
No 535's are due here (St. Louis) until next week, and I'll be most interested in driving a 535i and 550i sport package cars back to back to feel the difference. If someone has the opportunity to drive a 535i and a 550i, please post your observations.

I looked at my directionals again, but closely this time, and they are like a different color red. I work in IT and an amber color is an orangey red. But, when we say amber here it is more of a yellow color. Oh and by the way, I am color blind.
Appreciate it in advance.
