man am I sorry to hear your story, if it helps, I just went through this on my 04 545i. I too hit the rebar and pulled out the bumper, but I insisted on bringing the car to the most exspensive auto repair shop in Ft Lauderdale. They did a great job and I traded the car in a week later, oh well...

Parking sensers have no effect on parking bumpers which amazes me since these cars have sensors for just about everything else.

Thanks everyone for the sympathy.. does anyone know if those "air ducts" are actually functional? I'm probably not going to have it fixed before I leave for Orlando (250 miles each way) and want to make sure it won't hurt anything driving for a few hours on the highway.
