Yeah but not a DMS 535d...wich from what people tell it feels ALOT faster.
Also i don't think there are morons who drive CSLs...at least i like to think that way.
I think it's possible.

535d is a pretty good match for a 545i, but not quite so fast on the track. In a race driver skill is going to be a big factor as is the track layout and condition.
Both are VERY VERY quick and amazingly one of them is a (oh my god) diesel
![Wacko](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/wacko.gif)
Either car could 'worry' an M3, but they would definitely need a remap to 'bother' an m3csl.
This seems pretty straightforward to me - what's to get upset about ?

The upset is that this is newsflash to some petrolheads and some are not willing to accept the reality. Bealive me if i had an m3 i would pissed as a #@$% if (even) a remaped diesel would be on my tail and i couldn't shake him off.
But not to worry, not smth the next m3 can't handle.

Exactly - it's all evolution and the 535d is a newer model than the e46 M3.

Ok, lets leave it there. But besides, i drive a 525i now so i will have my ass kicked anyways by either cars. And i do think that the current diesel engines we talked about are one hell of a masterpiece but the ///M models have always been a different story and not comparable to any other BMW.

I guess you by experience have learned how to get the most out of your 545i, if someone with the same will as you did the same with a 535d the figures would probably look a bit better. I don't think the 535d is faster than the 545i, but there is there is something wrong with your numbers for the 535d. I've very very hard to belive it should be slower than my 530d.

I really don't know why I should trust your measurements more than for instance this test:

Can't read your test figures. I can't even tell which cars were tested--without working way harder that is reasonable. BMW Germany is proud enough of the results I posted to link them on its web site. How about posting some numbers from the test you posted so we can read them--those comparable to the ones I posted? Which of my measurements are you talking about? I did not measure anything for a 535d.
If your german is good here are the other pages:
http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showpost....611&postcount=2
ps.
And the measurements I'm talking about are off cause the ones you've done with your 545i. Or it wasn't you who did those?
btw, I looked at the pics in your sig, those style 101s are the best looking rims I've seen on a E60!

Click on the picture, then it will be larger. It from a German (i think) magazine. The complete test was posted here before.
