I knew about some issues that e60 has. Every car has it's own right? But I also knew that BMW has strong engines. Doubt it know. FU$#@$@ 54650 miles and needs total rebuilt. $10000 Toyota Yaris with it's 1.3 will do a lot more. I know things break. But a V8 engine not reaching 120.000 miles is a junk I am thinking what to call the one not beeing able to do 60.000. Damn it.

The e60 relies on condition based service intervals. If you're changing your oil before the car indicates it, you're wasting your own time and money. I highly doubt it was the OP's fault the engine blew.

Ok everybody so here it is. They Will replace short block FREE OF CHARGE!!!! I will have to pay some part of taxes (welcome to ILLINOIS) so about $700 on my side which is great!
