535D with error codes (INPA) - What is the car telling me?
Hi guys,
I got my hands on INPA, NCSExpert and all that stuff this weekend, and this morning I finally managed to get to reading the error memory on the car. My cheap OBD II reader had told me that the car had error P3263, but nobody seems to know a definitive root cause of that code.
So, with that in mind, I bought a cable with the INPA software.
I have managed to track down the meaning of the codes, and they are as follows:
4212 Glow Plug Cyl 1 - Activation Interrupted
4232 Glow Plug Cyl 3 - Activation Interrupted
4262 Glow Plug Cyl 6 - Activation Interrupted
4252 Glow Plug Cyl 5 - Activation Interrupted
41F2 Electric Ventilator - Activation Interrupted OR 41F2 Electric fan, activation
3FF0 Air Flow Meter OR 3FF0 Air-mass flow sensor
3EED Power Management Closed Circuit Current
5F15 Brake block wear rear axle
5F15 Brake block wear rear axle
A0B0 Brake light
A0B0 Brake light
9EC0 Heating driver failed
9EC1 Seat ventilation supply, cushion and seat back
9CC3 Battery exhausted
A468 External open circuit (LVDS data line)
Now the battery I knew about, as I flattened it one day by leaving my ODB II reader plugged in
Brake light codes I presume are referencing when the bulbs have gone at some point and the dealer I bought the car from said it needed brake pads before I bought it, so that covers the brake block wear codes.
Unfortunately I have no clue on the others. I didn't think my comfort seats were ventilated, and they certainly both heat up when the heating is turned on, so not sure there's an error still present on these.
The engine stuff is what's bothering me the most. Do I need any replacement parts according to these codes?
I've now cleared the codes and will check over the next couple of days for any of them coming back, but the P3263 that I found via the OBD II reader did come back after a few days the last time I cleared it.
If it helps, I also got this information:
