Those are some good times without brake torquing. Brake torquing will lower those times. Brake torquing requires left foot on brake, right foot on throttle. Bring the rpms up to 1200 and release your left foot off the brake and gradually step on the throttle. All the while let the car shift for you. This is grogan545's method of launching. Grogan545 is the fellow that's consistently getting sub 5's with his 545. Znod as well.

My GT2 timer just arrived in the mail. I bought it off ebay. Brand new in the package for $95 plus $10 shipping. Seemed like a great deal. There are still more for sale. Here is the link
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Escort-G-Ti...1QQcmdZViewItem
Any advice on setting it up? I searched and found these settings:
Rollout: 12"
Pitch: 1.9
Drivetrain loss: 0.20
Rolling Resistence: 0.13
Aero drag: 6.5
Are these the appropriate ones to use?
Thanks

Pitch-2.0
Roll-3.0
Drive Train loss-.20
roll res.-.013
CDA-7.0
Mass factor-7%
speed rollout 12"
1/4 rollout-12"
Weight-4100
All of my runs to date were with these settings, however based on my drag strip results I am changing my rollouts to 9" in order to fine tune my times to coincide more closely to the drag strip timer.
Very good results on your first 2 tries. You should be able to improve on these times as you get more experience with the launch's.You need to do some brake torquing to get better times.I vary my rpm's depending on road and weather conditions.

I did two quick tests yesterday. One was a complete 1/4 mile, the other was just a 0-60. Here are the results:
Run #1
1/4 mile: 13.78 sec @ 101.6 mph
0-60: 5.30 sec
Run #2

Hi fellows,
I have remapped a while ago my 535d to 718nm and 371hp. (see attachment) I am enjoing every second in the car!
I clocking times with chrono : 0-100km/h 5.5s ; 0-200 18.5s ; 0-250 35s.
As you all seem to be pecialiasts i would like to know if i am risking machanical problems. Sofar I have driven +10.000km and everything goes perfect.
With this torque, of course 99% of the time you stay below 2500rpm and I thing it is not hurting the mechanics to much.
The torque lover...

To Znod and all.
I have just spent a good while, reading through this post and would just like to congratulate you all for your time and obvious effort in bringing all of this information to us.
I feel glad to be an owner of a 545 step and am happy in knowing that it goes that bit faster when on the loud pedal...even though the car is no quicker than it was before I read this post, it will now feel quicker!

diveleader,
If you like this thread, there are plenty of other threads similar to this. Just search for Znod's name.![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)
hollywood,
I spoke to Znod a few weeks back. He's shifted most of his attention these days to the Windows Vista forum, I think. I'm sure he still checks out e60.net as a guest.
