I just picked up an '05 545i (with loads of options) to replace my original '05 545i (lease is ending.) I noticed the recommended tire pressure is 36 PSI front / 44 PSI rear. Both cars have the sport package. I don't remember the recommended tire pressure being that high on the original car. Can anyone confirm the recommended pressure. It has new Bridgestone run flats. (I think RF050A is the model number?)

36psi front 44psi rear is all I have ever used and it works great for me as far as wear and handling. It also states it on the door post, 36F 44R. Good luck
cheers

my 05 530 is the same way. It's the perssure for a fully loaded car (5 people and luggage). you can run lower pressure if you never haul people/luggage in your car. I believe the manual lists 2 scenarios, 1 is full load and another one is light load.

I was told to always go by the stickers on the doorjam. I go by the yellow sticker for "speeds over 100 MPH", because that's how I roll.

Would probably be best for mileage, too.
