While waiting on more parts I worked on the harness. Stupid crank sensor plug snapped in half. Ordered a new connector and crimped new pins.

All done.

Suspension parts started arriving. Got Koni Actives, new strut mount, new swaybar endlinks and lower control arm. Thrust arm looks ok, so I did not order one.

My turbosmart diverter valves and new charge pipe showed up today. Also picked up a new spring compressor, tired of using the deathsticks. I can remove springs in 30 seconds now

Now that's a serious spring compressor. Where and how much?

Is that a charge pipe for an e60? Interested in your decision to go with Turbosmart instead of Forge. Thanks.

Correct that is e60 specific charge pipe. I used turbosmart on some other projects and I think they are top notch, never gave me any problems. Forge is not a bad option either.

Weird. I checked Car Lab's website but didn't see an e60 application. So this would be the only other e60-specific charge pipe aside from Evolution Racewerks. I'm also leaning towards the Turbosmart. It seems that the Forge DVs may require regular maintenance (e.g., every couple of months) or they might start sticking. Hopefully, Turbosmart doesn't. Haven't come across many reviews of N54 Turbosmart DVs, mostly Forge.

Please let us know if you have any fitment or other issues with these. Thanks.

It's a clone of the FTP motorsport charge pipe, made in the same taiwan factory. Looks identical. It was slightly cheaper.

Started assembling the suspension. Got all the pieces for the struts. New spring pads, bellows, bump stops and strut mount.

Old and Busted

New Shiny

All put together.
