Chime echo with long interval reminds me church bell rings during a funeral (here in Greece) so I always wear it

I wish the beep would work for rear seat passengers as well. I'm being serious now.

Just by the way, does anyone know from what weight the sensors pick up a seat occupant?

Yep.
I totally agree!

I lov it how people in my car are fasten their seatbelt, annoyed, when the chime starts...

That's what I have fire extinguishers under both of my front seats and a little emergency hammer with a seatbelt cutter in reach of the drivers seat.
When I arrive at an accident scene I will be able to help, no matter what happened. And I hope I never have to use any of those items. Not on my car, not on any other car...

Fire extinguishers -> Good idea, I was thinking about it. Can you please help where to buy and where exactly put it? How to fix it underneath the comfort seats? Thanks very much.

Oh yeah No words needed And a little red flashing icon in the headliner like airplanes have

...
Fire extinguishers are in the BMW accessories catalogue.

Dealer fitted them under the front seats.

Hehehe. Marius, Springbok se speedcops kyk nie vir seatbelts nie, hulle dra self nie!
Yeah, that's an argument. The cops don't check and don't wear them themselves. Now I'm convinded that it's safe enough to drive without a belt. No chance that someone hits me with 50

... Once you have a bag of shopping on the pasanger seat the bloody dinger starts dinging...
That's why I put it on the floor in the backseat. Don't have to worry about it sliding or tipping because the rear footwell and back of the front seat acts like a storage tray. If it's more than 3 bags, it goes in the trunk.

I think wearing your seatbelt when you want to is a personal choice. I know for a fact smoking will kill you, and I have therefore stopped smoking a couple of years back. But I will never lecture anyone that smokes about the health risks involved with it. It's their personal choice whether they want to smoke or not. It should be the same with wearing your seatbelt.

Oh and by the way, I lost a friend ten years back who burned to death after his car collided with a taxi and caught fire. The seatbelt mechanism got jammed, trapping him in the vehicle...

I am very sorry to hear about your friend, but that is the excpetion. The fact of the matter is seatbelts save lives. That is not debatable.
