My Ride: 2005 BMW 525i A/T (E60)

My seatbelt alarm chimes exactly 37 times before going silent. Anyone know why BMW would decide on such an odd number of chimes? Why not make it 30 or 40?
PS: I had it "silenced" by my service agent...

I haven't checked, but I imagine it is a time base thing...2 minutes sounds about right. I know on my old E34, the infamous "seat belt buckle" warning caused the ARS light to stay on for exactly 2 minutes...then it would go off.

Wow.... I would not have gotten that far. I honestly just thought it would keep chiming until you put the seatbelt on which is probably what it should do. Why don't you just wear your belt?
What fool wouldn't choose to wear a seatbelt?
