Get trim removal set or a small flat head and work from a long side around. Push the trim piece slightly away at the mount points as you move the controller down (push then pull down). It should unhook at that mount point then continue all around until it comes out. About a quarter way around it should just pull out

Actually, the controller is held in by a bracket that is screwed in to the bottom of the center console not the trim cover. You can try prying it out but the correct way is to remove the entire center console and unscrew it from the bottom.
