I got a 1997 Lexus LS 400 with 170K for miles and the sunroof is quite as can be. Been like that since I bought back in 1999. Use it to rack up miles and overall is much quiter then my 545.

I had my dealer replace the sunroof seal a couple of weeks ago too, it seemed fine on the ride home. Yesterday however as i hit 70 getting onto the highway i thought i left a window open

our cars are loud compared to a lexus.

Even the old LS430's are silent compared to ours. Not sure how they do it....must be magic.

My sunroof does the same thing...Sounds like the window is open if I leave the cover open...

BMW needs to stop cutting corners on seals. My rear window seal is al cracked and eroding away. I'm probably going to have to replace it soon.

The LS 460 If its 2 years old it should be the 460... unless he bought a 430 used...

by the way you right.. the seals are not as good. my seal in the winshield looks cracked too. most likely from the sun damage (black car in california). i wonder how much that would cost to replace too..
