I picked my car today from local DINAN shop. I used DINAN instead of Dealer because customer service is so much better. They didn't charge for diagnosis and a very friendly. Labor costs are mych less, too.

So, I've had a wind noise from my sunroof when it was closed with the cover open. The guys at Dinan drove it, did some udjustment and installed a new seal ( new seal : $66 plus labor ). Now suroof is silent like a lexus. I drive with the cover open and there is no noise at all.

Also, I needed to do mp3 retrofit on my car so they installed the latest PROGMAN and mp3 now works. Also, the car feels better (may be because the transmision was reset) and iDrive has new (grey) colours like in LCI cars. Looks nice. Guys at Dinan apperently had some problems updating the software so they had to take my car to Morgan Hill - the DINAN headquaters - and update it there. But they still charged me only for 1 hour labor to do that (dealer said that i will be responsible for labor and part costs if something goes wrong with sofware update)

Overall, i'm very satisfied. Will definately come back there.

Just wanted to share with the rest of this forum

Good to know. I may try a local DINAN shop here as well (at least with the sunroof issue).

What exactly does Lexus quiet mean?

Are our cars not as quiet as a Lexus?

Thats just my experience.. I had to sit in few new lexuses (LS, GS) and i couldnt hear anything at all - you can't event tell if the car is on. Suspension is not as stiff, so you don't feel bumps and engine is quite like prius. At the end e60 is a much better drive though.. But much more noise inside. At least in mine. May be you have a newer one - i've got 2005
