Afraid not. I have had a couple of software updates that took a day or two because the software wouldn't take. Is that the issue or is the software loading and the adapter is not working? I do not have Nav but did have the changer when my mine was installed, Jan '04 build.
I'm not sure. The dealer sid that they are having toruble synching to the iPod adapter so that it functions properly via i-drive and the steering wheel controls.

I had similar problems when I had OEM unit fitted to my 05 525d, I too have no Sat Nav or CD, the guys told me that they found out for the first time that there are two different types of Ipod link from BMW. They re-ordered and two days later it was sorted. Maybe this will help you.

The vehicle I have is a 2004 (March '04 build) 530i. I do not have NAV nor did I have a CD changer. The local BMW dealer has installed the BMW OEM iPod adapter kit and has now spent 1 1/2 days loading software and trying to synch the iPod with the vehicle without success. Any ideas on how to help the dealer figure this out would be greatly appreciated.
The problem is now resolved. My local dealer worked with BMW North America to get it to work. They had to assign a new "VO" to my vehicle (whatever that means) and use the latest rev of software. The iPod functionality via iDrive is very good and the sound is crystal clear. Thanks to all of you that have responded to my posting.
