2004 530I CD and MP3 Player

Hello everyone,

Need some help here? I got a 04' 530i. I got L7 with a 6 CD changer; however I can't seem to play a MP3 CD in the CD player nor in the CD changer. I really don't want to pay $200

to BMW for a software upgrade. What can I do to accomplish this? any suggestion.

It's easy, they will update your software at the next service stop. Just ask them, I'm sure someone will do that for you at no charge. If you can't play it in the changer, you'll probably need to change it, mine stopped working completely so this problem got solved automatically
