2008 535 XI... I believe that my light switch is inoperable, my parking lights will stay on front and rear with the ignition off and the key removed no. Also my Foglights will not come on when I press the switch.has anyone else experienced this problem? I am more than 200 miles away from a service center and I'm hoping to correct this problem myself any help would be appreciated

 

I can only say that if you've hit the indicator stalk when the car is off it will keep the parking lights on. I didn't read a lot on it... but that seems entirely unrelated to your fog lights not coming on. Someone said they have hit the switch so the button is pressed in (with their knee) but it didn't affect the operation either. I would think/hope that it is a switch problem first rather than an electrical short.
