Thanks for the reply brother, yes being away out here for so long sucks. I have been looking around, for quite some time now, and so far this one has been the only one that got my attention, but yes you are right, theres always that risk. you know how we earn our paychecks here, i really don't want to make a bad decision on this one. I talked to the guy today and he gave me his home address, my brother will probably go see it and test drive it tomorrow, ( I trust him ) seems legit.
You think 15k is a good deal tho ? I'm planning on keeping it for probably 2 years then get me a newer one if possible.

Wow thanks for all the replies, i spoke with my brother today and he said the car looks and runs very clean, but i will take your advice and make him take it to a BMW shop to get it inspected, even tho the guy has all the receipts for the services at the bmw dealer, i think that will be best just to be sure. Again thank you all for your time!

My Ride: 545i 2004, SMG, Sport, Nav, Logic-7, Bluetooth phone retrofit
I know from experience that the N62 engine in the 545 is expensive to maintain and repair. At that mileage it's probably about ready for the famous Coolant Pipe In The Valley problem. If you can find a 550, that's probably a better choice. Or a 530. The M54 engine has a list of well-known problems, but they're all relatively cheap to fix and things fail at predictable intervals.

Prob best man, take your time, no need to rush. Who knows, maybe you'll find something else you like or want to spend your money on partying and booze like I did when I got back.
