OP - the question you posed is interesting, but you asked it in such a way as to encourage people to abuse you in their responses. Your grammar, punctuation, and general use of the language are atrocious.

I worked hard for decades to put myself in a position to be able to drive a BMW. Among the things I count strongly towards my own success is an ability to communicate well. Your posts seem to have been written by a four year old. I am confused and a little discouraged that someone with your writing skills has the ability to own an E60. This means that I have clearly failed to understand something basic about life up to this point.

It does sound to me that a) your friend may be pressing the throttle and the brake together, and b) you aren't completely familiar with the behavior of your car's transmission when in DS mode.

Edit - your profile says that you are 19 years old. That explains much, although I still encourage you to work on your writing skills. As they are, they will hold you back. Please drive your car sensibly.

I have to say that, after reading a lot of threads in this forum, I never expected to see this kind of behaviour. I have seen on some other forums and still do not understand why people behave like this. This kind of behaviour makes me think twice everytime I intend to participate.

The guy just come looking for help and this is what some of you have to say. Oh Well! This a forum and a forum exists to share ideas, experiences and find help. Don?t think that insults fit. There are many ways to Talk/write without insulting.

We all know that the most strange things happens with cars and other things. Last weekend a friend of mine was telling me about exactly the same thing that happened with his father's BMW a few years ago while in the middle of a corner.

I think the moderators should delete this thread or at least make it a sticky as "how to not behave in this forum"

Regards,
Cap

Sir, you may only have four posts to your name, but this one is dead on. You are absolutely right. Most of the members here will wholeheartedly agree with you too. Luckily, threads like this really are the exception and not the rule.

+1. Most threads don't go down like this. But, of course, on any large board with tens of thousands of members there are bound to be a broad spectrum of personalities.
