Some people can be so violent and cruel to their cars. There should be a law against it.

Sorry I forgot to add that covered it with a microfiber cloth then banged away.

Thanks Robbo!!!
1.5 door down, 2.5 to go
The parts came in yesterday and today instead of going to lunch I did the driver side door and the bottom part of the front passenger door.
Last month I did the vinyl tape deal which looked okay, but nothing beats the real thing!
Balbs

I just got my parts today and went to a local shop here and asked them how much it would cost to install and he said $250 to $300 LMAO..I'll install it myself this weekend with the help of this DIY. But I have 2 questions:
1. How/with what do I remove the rubber seal and when do I put the rubber seal back in? After I put the new trim in?
2. There isn't anything that I should put under the new trim (like tape) so it fits better? My current chrome trim goes up a little bit and isn't straight so I wouldn't want that to happen with the new trim.
thx

My Ride: BMW E60 520i se genuine m sport kit,18" M6 Wheels, reverse camera, lcd headrests, dvd player, multimedia device
,black kidney grills
i recentley had my e60 in the body shop having the m sport kit fitted but when i got it back the chrome trim round the windows started to grate on me as it seemed to ruin the m sport look so i phoned bmw dealer and they wanted over £200 for the shadowline kit so instead i decided id remove it (using robbos removal guide) and paint it my self and i must say im very please with the results, if any one is thinking about doing this just make sure that you buy a good binding primer so that the paint doesnot chip off easy and id recoment a satin black paint as that matchs the door and wing mirror plastics .... Thanks for a great guide robbo
p.s i dont know if you mentioned on your guide but may i say it helps if you have the windows open when removing and fitting the trim
