I am looking to replace both of my lower control arms. I have 68k miles on my car and found that the driver side control arm bushing is cracked. I thought about just replacing the bushings but I thought the replacing the whole thing would be better because I would have brand new ball joints to go with the new bushings.
I took a gander at the front axle and it seems pretty simple but looking for pointers anyway.

Yep. . It's just a couple of bolts and nuts on either end. It seems pretty harmless as far as undoing them and replacing in reverse order but was making sure I didn't miss any big "no no's". It looked like I may have remove the sway bar brackets but I was bake to get a wrench on there without doing so. Just trying to cover all basis.

There is usually a castle nut on the end #15 and that would have to be pried from it's mounting location since it's a joint and there will usually be a cotter pin in there that will have to be replaced - they are super cheap though

There's not a cotter pin on the ball joint end but I may have to use a hex key in the middle of the ball joint bolt to hold it in place as I turn the outer nut with a washer. I had to do this when I was installing the sway bar end links.

thats where an impact wrench comes in real handy. it will spin the nut off without turning the shaft.
