replace "parking lamp"

Need a little help here
I discovered that the parking lamp is actually under the H7 bulb. They now have LEDs that you can buy to replace the "5W5" bulb that is listed in the manual. The cross-reference # is 2825 or T10.
So that's it? Use a long nose plier to pry the bulb out?

The best thing to do is search for exact BMW part numbers using this site: BMW Parts - Authentic OEM BMW Parts direct from BMW of South Atlanta | BMW of South Atlanta type in your exact vehicle and then search for the bulb.
You can access the back of the headlight assembly via the wheel well.
Loosen lugs, jack the car, place it on jack stands, remove tire, now begin removing the 8mm screws that hold the plastic wheel liner in place. Remove as many as needed to gain access to the headlight assembly.
I prefer this method as I don't like to mess with the headlight assembly and its alignment. Also, on a 545i, removing the assembly from the front requires lowering the bumper.

AE out
Removing the headlight assembly is the easiest way to get at the bulbs ... if you have small hands you may not need to do that. Did you find a replacement bulb the last time you had this problem on the other side? PM me if you need original type AE bulbs - I may have kept mine when I replaced the AE's with bright (and expensive) ones right after I bought my '07 530xi. If that's the case, since I traded my car for an '13 535 if I can find them I'll be glad to sell them to you.
