Dunno if it's been brought up, but i'll post in anyway. Maybe it's useful for somebody.

Values to activate "welcomelight" by pressing trunkbutton once on early E60's. I've done it on my 2004.

LMA:

HEIMLEUCHTEN_FUNKSCHL nicht_aktiv
aktiv
HEIMLEUCHTEN_VERLANG nicht_aktiv
aktiv
HEIMLEUCHTEN_ABRUSCH nicht_aktiv (Abort lights on trunkbutton)
aktiv

CAS:

SODERSTRAZTE_PAKINALARM nicht_aktiv
panikalarm

Cant just asking questions all the time. I have to post something useful aswell

I have the following coding question for my car (2004 E61 530d with A/C High):

I do not want my dash ventilation coming on when I switch on the engine. This option (fan NOT coming on) was successfully selected when I updated my software at BMW about 3 years ago. Now I changed the A/C panel in my car and this reverted back to default (I guess the info is stored at the panel itself).

I searched on various forums via google, but did not find an NCS Expert code for this.

Can this be coded and does anyone have the code?

Thanks.

Default Another Pre-LCI DRL question

I've been reading a lot but this is my first post so Hello everyone. I have a 2007 530i manufacture date is March 2006 so it has LM1 it also has Xenon adaptive lights. I was able to turn on the idrive drl on/off control and it does work when light switch is set to auto however, it behaves just as if you have turned the headlights to the full on position (Xenon, Angel Eyes, and Parking Lights front and back are on. Now I know you cant do AE drl with LM1 but I would like to have the flash to pass inner beams as drl without parking lights. I read a post that said to set DRL_V_GEDIMMT to aktiv but that just gave me a faulty code error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

DRL_V_GEDIMMT
wert_01 (us-drl) _02 (40% high beam)

DRL_WERT_DIMMUNG
wert_01

That will solve ur prob. There is no "aktiv" ones here.

This, specifically, is called pathway lighting and has been talked about before. The downside of this "acting" as welcome light is obviously: no unlock of the vehicle, low beams are turned on, and this method can be only activated three times before key has to be inserted into the ignition.

That's not exactly true if you are willing to wire it up instead.

There's a thread on this board that goes into how. Check it out demonstrated on my own car (LCI retro'd, but still on LM1):

I've read that before actually, about wire it. You coulden't tell the difference on ur vid.. Looks nice!

Those LCI headlights has some useful functions togheter with LM2 actuallty, such as cornering lights. Assuming they're AHL.
