I recently bought an E60 M5 Cluster from ebay uncoded. I installed it today and i ended up with many faults. Please have a look at the video (
).As you can see the oil temperature is working too and no transmission fault.

One thing i cant understand, is that suddenly everything stopped working as you can see from the pictures below.
RPM works for a few seconds and then dies, Gasoline also for a few seconds and then dies and so does the oil temperature, but it shows the speed when i put to DS

Do you think a software update will help or is something more than that? Can anybody help me?

If you know your dealer well, he might help you out on installing this cluster.

Have you tried replace it with your standard cluster, so you will confirm that it only needs coding to your car by a ...friendly dealer?

The consumption gauge is not working when in neutral, you have to ride the car to confirm.

I did that, but it is not working. Also when i disconnect the battery the new cluster goes back to zero. My idrive in service requirements came up with all the messages you see on the picture, but when i connect my old cluster everything disappears.

Try disconnect the battery for 20 min. and then put your old cluster back on. Consumption must work.

It's logical, actually the new cluster is not connected to the car. It only takes power and some random signals.
Have you tried the TEST function on both clusters?
