Got it in and coded works like a charm, takes alittle getting used to as far as the mp3 menue's

Sounds great also I just wish I could watch the movies from my ipod on the screen.

did cost me 70 dollars for the installation and codeing, but was worth it I recomend this upgrade to any one who can get it.

I know it should have been, but the m$p for this was kind of vague as to my car being that it is a sept 03 build date.

Also I let him put it in rather than code then install, because of the return installed policy. The reason though that mine worked got coded was because I had the radio replaced about 2 years ago for a sticking cd. I guess at that point they installed the up to date model that had mp3 capabilities.

I also got him to lower my car alittle more and do another alignment total cost of 170.00 I can handle that, now i wish the cable was longer as I plan on doing the adaptor thingy in the ash tray that way it is very easy to disconect and connect as I use this when I am working.

i'd say buy a cheap iPod for 60-70 bucks on ebay and keep that in the car or you can splice into the harness and extend the cables from the ipod to the interface. shouldn't be too hard either.

so does anyone have any info if the MP3 retrofit work on cars with no Nav? I have an '04 born in August. i'm getting the Bluetooth activated and if i can get MP3's to play through the cd that would be great. Hell i wouldn't need a i-pod or a changer. any input would be great

Schulrog how big is your touch you have on your system and how do you have it structured so that you can get more than 500 songs to play I have about 28 gigs of music on my touch and would like to just be able to shuffle and play, but as we know only 500 songs are loaded so I can barley get out of the A's on my ipod

Do I just continue to create seperate playlist and reorganise my entire ipod?

honestly, i've never had that issue with the 500 limit. from the getgo, i created different playlists for the different genres. that's how it would work. creating different playlists.

oops, drifted to the wrong part of the forums when searching. i have an E60. my guess is that its only for the nav cars. i've read about this update in the E60 forums but noone has confirmed it to work for the E60's without the Nav, only those with.
