They have a good cheap solution

Also there is the Dension Gateway 500

And the dealer iPod retrofit kit, now some say the Dension is really good, but not sure about the cost. I installed the factory unit and it's great, but costly.

Good luck, there are tons of threads including this one regarding iPod retrofits. Check them out
the problem is that in my country there is no service center where the dealers can make coding everyone try it DIY. which way is better? original unit cost?

I went through all this pages and still can not find answer to my problem. It seams that I bought an old iPod interface that does not charge my iPhone 3GS. I decided to get an iPod and leave it in glove box but woul like to know which iPod and generation will work and charge it the same time. I really do not wont to spend more money and time on experimenting on this crap. Please someone who has the old interface tell me what iPod do you have
Thanks

Find the manual for the interface you bought. My manual says which iPods will charge and which will not. My manual may be older though because it claims it will not charge the 3GS but it does.

The iPod interface can not charge iPhones, apple swapped the pins around. you can buy an adaptor which will allow iPhones to charge from the interface.
